Fase 1

Fase during construction: Moment of TBM ¹ break in. The weight reduction due to the boring process was considered critical. The risk of floating was present. The 3D model was a useful tool to establish the balance at all times.

Fase 2

Finished construction: The emergency shaft is completed. Construction of the tunnel structures continues. A TSP ² drives through the tunnel.

² TSP is short for 'Train Sur Pneus', which means Train on Tyres. This transportation device was developed especially for this tunnel project and supplies the TBM and tunnel structures with materials like segments, concrete, reinforcement, backfill.
